The cats of Greece
Rather than subject non-cat people to endless photos of Greece's predominant residents, I left most of them off the rest of the Greece photo pages. But I did take a lot of photos of cats, so I've banished them to this page.
Cats in Greece are everywhere.
Athens
These guys know where to hang out. This is a restaurant in the Plaka, a neighborhood of Athens near the Acropolis, and the kittens seem to eat pretty well.
Delphi
There were a lot of cats living near the ruins of Delphi, including this particularly small black kitten.
There probably wouldn't be so many of them if the staff at the museum didn't invest so much time in feeding them.
Nafplion
This was our favorite friend in Nafplion. He spent most of his time on whitewashed steps leading up to our hotel, occasionally sitting in shop windows and doors.
Rhodes
Santorini
We met a trio of kittens on a street overlooking the volcano in Santorini. They were friendly, but were preoccupied with stalking and wrestling with each other.
Mykonos
This guy was huge, and once we started petting him he followed us around like a pelican (not an analogy I would have considered before visiting Mykonos).
